We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in Wylie, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes, reading blueprints, performing inspections, and ensuring machined parts meet quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, work instructions, and specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment according to production requirements.
• Call up machine programs and follow established machining procedures.
• Load, position, and secure workpieces using chucks, fixtures, and centers.
• Monitor machine operation to identify malfunctions, tool wear, or quality concerns.
• Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Perform Quality Assurance System (QAS) and hoist inspections as required.
• Change worn tooling and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Complete inspection reports, SPC charts, and production documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all quality, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous CNC Lathe Operator experience preferred

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

Experience using precision measuring instruments

Strong math and mechanical aptitude

Ability to interpret inspection and quality requirements

Knowledge of CNC machining processes and tooling

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or machine shop experience
• SPC and quality inspection experience
• Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
• Knowledge of metal machining and production processes
• Forklift or hoist experience
