Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for a direct hire opportunity supporting manufacturing process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who enjoys analyzing production data, improving manufacturing performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The Industrial Engineer will focus on evaluating processes such as filling, sealing, printing, packaging, and related manufacturing operations to identify opportunities that improve productivity, quality, cycle time, and overall efficiency. This opportunity offers meaningful project work, collaboration with operations and quality teams, and the chance to contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the medical devices and supplies industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze production, quality, operational, and business data to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
- Support continuous improvement projects related to filling, sealing, printing, packaging, and other manufacturing activities.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and Process Excellence tools to improve productivity, quality, capacity, and cycle time.
- Prepare reports, presentations, recommendations, and business cases for management and project stakeholders.
- Support implementation, monitoring, documentation, and compliance for approved process improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process evaluation, optimization, continuous improvement, or related industrial engineering work.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement principles.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing, operational, or quality data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, engineering, and management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with filling, sealing, printing, packaging, or similar manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, and waste reduction.
- Lean Six Sigma training or certification.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
