Private family seeks an experienced, hands‑on Executive Housekeeper to join an established residential team within their Manhattan residence. This is a full‑time, long‑term opportunity for an accomplished private service professional who takes exceptional pride in detailed home care, maintains exacting standards, and works collaboratively within a structured, fully staffed household. The family values discretion, reliability, accountability, consistency, and a polished, service‑oriented approach.

The position is based exclusively at the family’s New York City residence. The schedule is Monday through Friday, generally 9am–5pm, not to exceed 40 hours per week, with weekends and major holidays off. The household maintains a highly predictable schedule; rare event support may require limited additional time, with the schedule adjusted accordingly. No travel is required.

The Executive Housekeeper will work alongside two other housekeeping professionals as part of a larger household staff and will be responsible for maintaining the residence to exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of high-level private household experience, though candidates with strong Five-star luxury hotel or hospitality experience may also be considered. This individual is calm, detail-oriented, appropriately friendly, adaptable, and comfortable following established household systems while stepping in to support teammates as needs shift throughout the home.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform all aspects of executive-level housekeeping, detailed cleaning, deep cleaning, and daily upkeep to maintain the residence in impeccable condition
• Maintain approximately 10,000 square feet across four levels according to established household standards, systems, routines, and presentation expectations
• Handle family laundry, basic ironing, linen care, and general wardrobe-related upkeep; coordinate specialty or delicate items to be sent out as appropriate
• Maintain household organization, closets, storage areas, and supplies to support efficient day‑to‑day operations
• Work within the household’s established team structure, taking ownership of assigned areas while readily assisting teammates when another area requires additional support
• Collaborate respectfully with the broader household staff, including housekeeping, culinary, childcare, driving, and pet‑care professionals, to support seamless daily operations
• Provide occasional household support surrounding professionally staffed events, including preparation and post‑event resetting as needed
• Use basic household technology and team communication platforms, including Slack, to remain aligned on schedules, requests, and household needs
• Additional Executive Housekeeper responsibilities as needed and requested

Requirements:

• Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent, verifiable references from current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within high‑level private residences preferred; exceptional candidates with transferable Five‑star luxury hotel or hospitality experience will be considered
• Strong knowledge of detailed housekeeping, fine‑home care, laundry, ironing, household organization, and the proper care of residential surfaces and furnishings
• Highly detail‑oriented, accountable, consistent, and reliable, with the ability to follow established systems and maintain exceptional standards
• Collaborative team player who is mild‑mannered, adaptable, appropriately friendly, and willing to assist across the housekeeping team as household needs shift
• Polished, discreet, calm, and professional with sound judgment, appropriate boundaries, and a strong commitment to confidentiality
• Comfortable using basic technology and team communication platforms such as Slack
• Comfortable working in a household with children and a dog; childcare and pet care are handled by dedicated staff
• Available to begin employment in the near term and interested in a long‑term position
• Legally able to work within the United States for any employer

Compensation: $125,000–$135,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications
